Legacies Youth Programs

The Legacies Youth Program is a prevention-focused, youth development program designed to strengthen academic skills, positive behaviors, and long-term success for children and adolescents. Services are delivered in a structured, supportive environment that promotes learning, resilience, and healthy family engagement.

Program Components:

  • Literacy & Academic Development: Grade-level literacy skill-building and reading interventions

  •  Tutoring Services: Skill reinforcement based on individual learning needs.

  • Prevention & Life Skills Development: Social-emotional learning and self-regulation skills.

  • Legacies After-School Enrichment Activities: Educational enrichment activities supporting literacy and academics.

  • Youth Development & Mentoring: Mentorship and role modeling to support youth through  motivation, attendance, and engagement

  • Wraparound Behavior Support: Coordinated, multi-system approach to address emotional, behavioral, and environmental needs.

  • Behavior Intervention Planning (BIP): Alignment with 504 and IEP plans to enhance skill development and ensure consistent behavior support across school, home, and community settings.

After-School Program

After-school initiative designed to support youth ages 5–17 in developing the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to succeed at home, in school, and within their communities. Activities include:

  • Recreational and enrichment activities

  • Substance use prevention

  • Life skills development

  • Social-emotional learning & coping skills development

Educational Services

Educational support for youth ages 5–17 in achieving academic success while building confidence, structure, and lifelong learning skills. Services include:

  • Homework assistance & academic support

  • Coordination with school staff and support plans (IEP/504)

  • Academic skill-building

  • Literacy development and reading support

Mentorship 

Mentorship Services provides support to youth to enhance their personal growth, decision-making, and overall well-being. The program focuses on building strong, trusting relationships that promote confidence, accountability, and healthy life choices. Services include:

  • Positive role modeling and relationship building

  • Ongoing support and guidance in school, home, and community settings

  • One-on-one mentoring

Wrap Around Support

Comprehensive, family-centered support designed to address the unique needs of youth ages 5–17 and their families. This approach coordinates services across home, school, and community settings.  Services include:

  • Behavioral Intervention Planning to support youth across home, school, and community settings

  • Advocacy with schools and service providers

  • Care coordination and service linkage
